When you go into labor runs in your genes? 👖

So my doctor seems to think ill go into labor around 38 weeks because my grandma and mom did with all their kids🤔 I feel like that's just a coincidence though...I was hoping to go to 40 weeks. What's your experience with this ladies?

My mom had me 34 weeks, laboured 4 hours. My brother at 37 weeks, laboured 3 hours. My sister at 39 weeks, laboured 1.5 hours. I had my son at 41+1 and laboured for 38 hours. Does not run in the family haha.

I was told genetics doesn't matter. My mom had two kids at 36 weeks so I'm prepared to have mine soon. Watch him come late.

I don't think that's true. When you go into labour just depends on when your baby is ready and your body has had enough. It's just coincidence
