Chemical pregnancy? TMI!! Help..

So last Tuesday I took an EPT and got a faint but sure positive. Tested every day after and got a bfn. Then at about 11pm Saturday night I went to the bathroom and it felt like I peed a lot but when I looked into the toilet I saw the biggest blood clot I've ever seen (in the picture) and sure enough after that I started spotting. After that happened I started getting horrible horrible cramps that are still going on but getting a little better. For about 48 hours every time I would go pee there would be quite a few blood clots in the toilet but they got smaller every time and now it just looks like my normal period.. I haven't made a doctors appointment because I'm currently out of state and was told if it's a chemical pregnancy my body will pass everything on its own... Any ideas or opinions of what this could be? My SO and I have been ttc for over a year and this has never happened before.
