Both. Opks detect the LH surge but don't guarantee you'll ovulate. BBT confirms ovulation.

OPK are more trusted by doctors. The doctor never says what was your Bbt. They ask about the ovulation test. One is actually measuring the hormones in your blood. The other isn't doing that.
