Gas pains or contractions??

I feel like this is going to sound stupid but can contractions feel like gas pains? I've been getting this pain in my lower abdominal region about every 8 minutes and it's lasting a minute exactly.
I'm 39w 4 days. Due on Saturday and lost my mucus plug/had my bloody show yesterday morning.

Turns out it was the real deal! I'm in labor and delivery right now 😍 our baby boy is making his arrival!

Yes!! I spent 2 hours having contractions that i thought was trapped wind and kept going to the toilet thinking i could ease them out. How wrong i was! Good luck!

Sounds like contractions. Keep timing them!

They can feel very similar. But there's a very good chance it's the real deal esp if they are regular and last that long and you've had bloody show!! When they're 5 minutes apart you can head to the hospital ☺️
