Do you ever feel an emotional attachment with your sexual partner(s)?

For me...I don't know...the emotional component of sexual intercourse or sexual activity never happened. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though my boyfriend and I deeply loved each other, we didn't make love. We just...we just f*cked. That's all that ever happened between us. I never felt more in love with him when we had sex; I just felt horny. Am I broken?

You aren't broken. Everyone is a little different, and love and lust are not the same thing at all. For you, they are clearly not connected, and that's ok. The attachment part of sex has to do with hormones and fades a bit, so it's not that big an effect even.

No, I wouldn't say that you are broken.  I'm curious though because you refer to your boyfriend in the past tense.  Are you no longer together?  If that is the case, I wonder if what you're really asking is something else - Are your future relationships doomed because of your inability to 'make love?'  I doubt if your perceived 'brokenness' is what broke up your relationship.  And, just because you didn't emotionally connect with one partner during sex doesn't mean that you'll never be able to do so with future partners.  Assuming that you would ever want to do so.  That's up to you and every relationship is different.  However, one behavior in one relationship does not a pattern make.
