Gestational diabetes, weight gain?!

Anyone with gestational diabetes struggling to gain weight since changing your diet? Before being diagnosed I was probably gaining about 1.5 lbs a week and since changing my diet I haven't gained any additional weight.... At my last appointment, doctor said it was normal with the change in diet... But it's gone on a little longer than I would personally predict....  I definitely plan to bring it up with doctor at my next appointment but just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat....
