So my birthday is this Sunday and my new boyfriend is wanting to buy me a present and I flat out told him no but he seems irritated that I don't want him to buy me one.

I just got out of a 4 year relationship and im still healing. Ive only ever had one gift bought for me by a boyfriend so im not uses to presents and not sure how to accept one.

He told me he wishes i would just let him buy me one. He says he likes me and wants to buy me a present to represent that.

Was it bitchy of me to stand my ground and tell him no?
