Should i break up with my boyfriend

I have just started considering this option. For some reason I always feel like he's trying to hide something from me. He says he loves me, but yet he never gives me a hug good bye, never holds my hand, and at school dances he never dances with me. He's always off with his friends. Please help me I don't know what to do. I really like this guy, but I don't know what to think.

He invited me over to a movie, and he said he promised he would pay more attention to me, treat me more like his girlfriend. But I still don't know what I should do. I haven't seen him all summer. Should I wait a little while after I see him, to see if he really has changed?
