Hospital Trip turned out to be more needed then we thought.

Melissa

So I kind of over did myself deep cleaning our apartment on Tuesday and it caused my contractions (which I've been dealing with) to get worse. After taking the meds the doctor gave to help stop them and doing the usual (stop, lay on left side, and keep hydrated) I ended up not sleeping and with alot of lower back pain and pain that felt like it is in my cervix, that didn't go away.

I kept dealing with the pain through the day but just wasn't feeling better so hubby suggested I call the FAU and let my doctor know. The nurse I explained everything too told me to call L&D.

Once I called L&D the nurse told me to come in to get checked.

Turns out after getting checked and tests they told me it's the beginning of preterm labor starting. I'm 2 cm and my cervix is still long but it's starting to thin and baby is head down and she said he is pushing down, causing my pressure feeling I've been getting along with all this. We also found in was having contractions every 8 min (which I felt all in my lower back) 😣 After they told me I'm showing signs of preterm labor they, hydrated me and put me on meds to help me sleep & to help with contractions and said they would sent me home one bedrest for the next 4 days but I ain't aloud to do anything. She said that she is worried if I push or do anything to make this worse it could cause me to go into full preterm labor and I'd be right back in the hospital.

So looks like this momma is stuck bored for the next few days. (then hopefully that's it) Going to be weird to have to let hubby do the housework and all even for just a couple days. But he said I should look at it as a break since I tend to "over do it" when I feel like deep cleaning. Lol. So glad I have his help and support and hopefully after a few days or rest, meds and hydration everything will calm down and little man won't try coming out for a while yet. If not or if things get worse we will need to go right back to visit the lovely ladies on L&D again.

Wish us luck that this gets under control and baby Luke stays cooking a while longer. 💙
