Should I get gel or acrylic nails?

I was always told gel was better for your natural nail. But if you're gonna get an extension you'll still have to put an acrylic tip anyway!

If you want gel and still want long nails, my nail girl builds them on with gel and a form. They're way safer and healthier for your nails and I always love them!

Solar is best IMO. My nails are really healthy even when I get them taken off. They literally look the same as acrylic if not better but aren't nearly as bad for your nails. However they are more expensive.

I believe there are better gel products out there for your nails nowadays. Typical gel sets ruin your nails similar to acrylic sets. I had acrylics for about a year and my nails were awful!! Brittle, dry, cracked, and paper thin. Whenever I put lotion on my hands the pressure I put on my fingertip hurt my nails because they were so thin. I highly recommend against acrylics. Not worth the damage IMO.

And make sure you go to a reputable salon that is sanitary and knows what they are doing. Too many commercial salons only want your $ and don't take the time to properly ensure your nails are being taken care of.
