Birth Control Shot Anyone?

I want to know if anyone tried the Depo-Provera shot and if it worked for them. And if there's any horror stories. I can't take the pill because I always forget to take them and I'm scared of the IUD. Any good or bad experience with the shot?

In my opinion the patch is the best way to go! You don't lose or gain wait. On the shot you to one or the other. And also on the pill is the same way! I have been on the patch for 4 years! Still my fav. I have had the depo and patch also pill. Patch is the way to go!

I've hear a lot of women have trouble conceiving after getting off the shot. It shouldn't be taken for longer than 2 years anyway, because it messes with bone density. I only got 2 shots and after the second I was bleeding everyday.

I got on the shot and stayed on it for one year and I NEVER had a period while on the shot . I was moody and I gained 50+ pounds !! It is horrible. I do not recommend it to anyone . It can cause cancer , infertility, and it also messes with your bone density as well leading to brittle bones.

Bad- I was on my period for 3 months straight. 
Good- I don't have sex when I'm on my period, thus preventing me from getting pregnant. lol

I will never again put that poison into my body. I got the shot twice. I turned into a raging moody bitch for 6 months. (Each shot lasts 3 months) I gained weight but only like 5 pounds. But I've heard of many other girls gaining 20+ pounds from the shot. It really fucks with your body. The only nice thing is I didn't get a period the whole time. Even that is scary to me. The depo shot can cause cancer and infertility !
