Would you does this to spice up things in the bedroom?

I was thinking about my husband and I both writing notes and sticking them in a jar and to pick one and do what it says. The dilemma is I'm pretty kinky and down for trying things, he's not so much kinky but down for trying new things as well. The problem is I have told my husband what I like and in turn he tells me what he likes. The problem with my husband is he sometimes doesn't do anything that makes sex fun, he kind of sticks with one thing and it's just not exciting. Would this be a good idea? Especially since I'm curious to what he writes down.
