disrespectful

My fiancé and I have been fighting more and more lately. I'm sure it's stress related, but he has started getting more and more disrespectful with the language he uses during fights. And he doesn't apologize anymore. He has even started insulting my family. I just don't know what to do. He says he'll change, but how many chances do I give him?
