Not resting after transfer?

Question

Has anyone not rested after having a FET? I have mine in the morning and it's our first day of school! I'm debating going in after the transfer, but worried about the risk.

My doctor told me that moving around has been proven to be better and have better outcomes. I had an FET in February that failed, and I rested for a few days after the transfer. Had another FET in May and went about my daily life as normal and am now 4 months pregnant! Good luck!

It's advised to rest a minimum of 2 days. I mean, why spend all that money on the procedure just to not listen to your doctor?  At worst, it does not hurt to sit for 2 days. At best, it results in pregnancy.  I walked around after the first transfer and got a bfn. After the second one I was on bed rest for 2 days.  My baby is going to come out in the next couple of weeks😊.

I'll be real with you, after both egg retrieval and transfer I felt so bloated that I would have been embarrassed to be in an enclosed room with anyone else bc of the constant gas passing. Plus you need to stay hydrated and I hope your classroom is close to a teachers bathroom (but also I have a tiny bladder 😝)

Every doctor has different advice. I know ladies who were told they didn't need to relax,  and some who were put on modified bedrest for a day or two.   After my transfer my doctor put me on modified bed rest for the rest of the day.  Personally, myself, even if he didn't, I would still want to take it easy.

I didn't lay around after my first transfer but I was still pretty bloated and sore after the EPU 3 days earlier. That transfer resulted in pregnancy.
