meeting new parents

Does anyone feel like they have nobody?! I have no friends and I only see family on holidays or on big family events. I had a couple good friends before I got pregnant, they were still around for about 2 months after I had my daughter. Now nothing! I have no idea how to get out there and meet new people and make new friends, as a mom now too ): any advice on how we can meet people in our area? Just moved a little over a year ago and we just never really met anyone....
