Hyphenating Baby's last name

Thoughts on Hyphenating the baby's last name with supporting opinion? I want to hyphenate the baby's last name. If or when my SO and I get married, I'll take his last name and change the baby's name. I'm not pushing marriage on him, however I *do not* want the baby to only have his last name. This is my compromise. I'll do what I want in the end. I'm curious of the outside view. Disclosure: planned pregnancy and not religious so the religious aspect isn't there at all.
