Relationships Surviving after one party cheats ??

Is it possible to have a relationship survive after one party cheats ? Has anyone had this experience? I need advice on what to do ....

Okay. So I get where your coming from. My story is a little different but same concept. Me and my current bf (let's call him L) broke up in January because he needed to work on himself and needed space, typical guy stuff. He still slept over and we still acted like we were in a relationship. He started talking to other girls during this time (we were "broken up" from January to may) and it hurt my feelings so I told him! And he made up some excuse and we went on our way. My trust was a little diminished. But we made it work. He broke up with me again and told me he was moving to Eastern WA. I was heartbroken but he was pursuing his dream job so I was proud of him too! I had been talking to a guy for a couple days prior to this as a friend so when L went to eastern wa me and the other guy (R) hung out a lot and eventually hooked up one night. Me and L started talking again and decided to work this out. He had heard about R and asked if anything happened, I lied because I didn't want him to be upset. Well L thinks I "cheated on him" when we weren't together so he lost all trust in me. We love each other A LOT. For as long as we can remember (me and L met in preschool) so we decided to work through it and he had some things he wanted me to do to gain his trust back. We both thought and still think it was worth it to hold on through it! It made us stronger! Sure we both still think about what the other did, and it's nerve racking sometimes, but we did it :)

Sorry if it's hard to follow, but my point is that If you and the other person think it's worth it and that you will be together for awhile, then sure. Go for it! But you can't constantly be scared that it's gonna happen again. You need to establish some sort of trust to keep things going. You have to have faith in each other and all that. But my situation wasn't technically cheating! It's up to You guys in the end if it's worth it to try again. But don't stay if it happens a second time! Hope that helps a little.
