Mine cheated on my, a few times in the beginning. That was 6 years ago and I'm still not completely over it. Don't know if I ever will be. I know he won't do it again, he is a changed man 210%. We have two kids together and he would never do anything to endanger his family. But I am still jealous, I still have issues with trusting him sometimes, hut he totally understands why and does everything he can do make me as comfortable as possible. You might not forget, but you can forgive.

I decided to stay. It took me about 10 months to be completely over it. But I stayed because I love him and even though he made a terrible mistake, it didn't change how I felt about him. The first 6 months were the worst. I'd always check his phone for everything. Calls, texts, emails, Facebook, ect. It took lost of communication and bonding to regain my trust. Next month on the 16th will be 1 year since I found out. We've overcome one of the most DEVASTATING things that can happen to a couple, and we've bonded closer and I honestly feel that were a much stronger couple because it happened. Now if it ever happens again "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me".  But I believe with my entire heart and soul that he wouldn't ever put us through that ever again.

About 4 months, or one season.

15 months ago was the first time I found out about incident one. Happened when we were LDR (had been dating about 3 years, with last year apart). We spent the summer (3 months) living together again and getting to know each other again, decided to stay committed. Then back to a happy LDR because of work. But 4 months ago it happened again. I cried for a month and finally broke up with him. I still think about him sometimes, but recently met a new man who has been a wonderful gift. He's supporting me through my recovery and we're slowly getting to know each other and falling for each other.

My takeaway is that breaking up hurts; take as much time as you need to become a full person again - to be the confident, secure, happy lady you have always been. Because you are your closest partner (24/7, forever, no breakups possible!)

I left immediately. It took me awhile to get pay it and I'm honestly still struggling with it 5 years later, but I decided to forgive him because it wasn't worth my energy to hold all of this hatred for him for the rest of my life. It's just something that's hard to get past myself, you know? That's where my trust issues stem from but I'm working on it. He fucked me up for life though
