first time using OPK's

Hi ladies,

Looking for some help with opk's - it's the first time I've used them, started a few days ago and the test line today has showed up a little. Although I realise this is negative, I was just wondering if they work similar to pregnancy tests, as in the test line will get darker the closer to ovulation? Or do they not work like that?
