Piercing baby boys ears at two weeks.

So my best friend recently had a baby boy. She wants to get his both his ears pierced at two weeks old. I didn't even know people allowed this so early. Is it even possible to get a baby ear pierced at two weeks? Not only that she wants both his ears pierced not just one.
