Has anyone else had postpartum depression?

So I had my baby over 8 months ago but apparently it's still common for ppd, you can get it up until the baby is a year old? Has anyone ever had it or got any advice for me? And how I should take action for it, off course I know the doctors will help me but has anything else worked for anyone?

I started medication at 2 weeks pp. I don't have any other advice other than that. It worked wonders for me and I feel soooo normal :)

I'm sure you're an awesome mommy and things will get better!! I had postpartum depression when I had my first child at 17 and I spoke to my doctor about it things got better. Having a baby is the most life changing event a woman could go through.  Postpartum depression is very common and does go away! Stay strong!!

I don't get depressed, I get panic attacks, I don't take meds because it makes me sleepy and I'm the only one caring for my baby during the day while husband at work.  I walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day, and get fresh air when I can. It seems to be helping me a lot.  I know it's not the same as depression but try to get your blood flowing with some kinda physical activities, see if that helps.
