VENTING about SO. Any ideas?

Question

Things are solo Stressful Rn and me and SO fought all day yesterday. 
Over everything. Which is so hard because we never fight.
We are arguing over money mostly.. We are trying to move.

He is not happy at his Job and I think he brings it home. He's negative.

Any ideas on things I can do to help bring him back up? 
Or maybe for us.. Something I could do for us?

When my husband was going through some rough times at work, he would tend to come home and unload all his frustrations in me for hours if I'd let him. I started making a point of letting him know I thought it was important that he feels he can vent to me, but that spending too much time doing it was just going to make him feel more negative and worn down. I'd be an open ear for the first 20 min or so when he got home, but then I'd say, why don't we sit down to dinner and talk about something more positive. Sometimes he'd have trouble getting off the subject, so I'd suggest going a relaxing in front of the tv for a couple shows or playing a board game. It really sucks when one of you is feeling miserable at your job, so it's important to be there and be supportive of eachother. You could ask him if he'd like you to help him look through job postings, or buff up his resume, too. Good luck!!
