WHY CANT I GET A TAMPON IN???

So ive had my period for about 4-5 years now, and ive only used pads. But a couple times now ive tried tampons, but i cant get them in all the way. What i mean is i can get the applicator in but when i tried to push the actual tampon in it feels like theres something blocking and it wont go in all the way. In kinda hurts too. Ive tried adjusting angles and what position im in when i try it but nothing works. Ive read it could be my hyemen (i forgot how to spell it) but its kinda discouraging because im tired of pads enabling me from activities.

What I do when I apply a tampon is slide the applicator all the way in and then I push down on the plunger as I pull out the applicator so the tampon is now where the applicator was. The hymen is located only about 1/3" to 3/4" inside your vagina (1-2cm) so if you can get the applicator past that the issue is not likely due to your hymen

When you insert it, try angling it straight back, towards your back, instead of up...if that makes sense?

When you are on the toilet go parallel to the ground, not straight up. And make sure that you r relaxed, that makes a difference
