sociopathic parents

Does anyone here have a parent diagnosed as a sociopath? My father is one and it seems like it's very hard to convey exactly how it feels to have that sort of relationship in your life with anyone who hasn't known a sociopath personally, and being as though they are so little of a percentage of the population, that is understandable. However for the children who had to be raised by a sociopathic parent, it's very easy to feel like nobody understands except you and your sibling(s) if you have any. There has been so much deceit and emotional abuse and it's hard to cope with. It's not the same as having a parent with addiction issues or a deadbeat dad, because he'll still have hints of himself in your life to look "like a good dad" and of course sociopaths often look like strangely perfect people, so you come off as the bad guy if you say anything against them. Does anybody share my pain? Does anybody else on here understand?
