Is it rice cereal or oatmeal cereal ?

& how much do I put in his bottle if he drinks 6 oz. he is finally 6 months and I want to see if he can sleep longer than 2 hours without waking up 🙄

You don't have to put it in his bottle. Try from a bowl, we mix ours with pureed fruits or veggies.

Why is it bad to put in the bottle? Isn't that how everyone used to do it and now it's bad.

I highly reccomend it, it fills my little one up and she sleeps from 7pm til 9:30-10am and usually drinks a bottle when imgoing into bed at 12-1am

I put good ol' Nestum Wheat cereal in her milk at her night bottle. Other than that, its plain enfamil in the day.

I put a table of rice cereal in her last 8 oz bottle of the day before bed.  It's fine.  You will get a lot of conflicting advice but I think it's fine.

Honestly ask his pediatrician and see what they say to be safe.  Only time its recommended to use cereal in anottle is for baby with acid reflux GERD and that's usually under a doctors supervision.

Our son's gastroenterologist said to add one teaspoon per ounce, but to be safe, please ask your pediatrician.

You can do rice or oatmeal. Traditionally people start with rice, but it constipates.

Feed baby the cereal with a spoon! Baby will love learning how to eat themselves and it's wonderful watching baby learn!
