Unclear Ultra Sound?

I had my first ultra sound today (I'm 9w3d) and the only thing my doctor could see were what looked like two tiny amniotic sacs. No heartbeat, no body shape. Has anyone had this issue? It's my first pregnancy so of course I'm uneasy. I have another ultra sound Fri with a better machine & we did blood work to monitor my hormones.

I had my second ultra sound on Friday & it appears that we have twins but no heartbeat on either. They could tell that one baby was 6w1d old & the other 5w6d old. We have another us this Friday & are praying for heartbeats! My first hormone blood test came back at a good level & waiting for the results from Friday to compare. Ideally they should have doubles. More info tomorrow. Thank you for the support!

Found out yesterday that we are having what's called a "missed miscarriage." Turns out we had identical twins and they stopped developing at 6 weeks. Hormones dropped significantly. So heartbroken.

My sister's first ultrasound, they couldn't see anything.. Then she got one at the hospital and the baby was clear as day. The tech at the hospital said the doctor may not have had the probe placed correctly.
