so who has the iud

I have been concerned about my iud since I've had it placed. I got it put in on July 5 and the following week I got my first period. Problem is I haven't stopped bleeding since then. It's not heavy enough for a pad but it's definitely enough of a flow to go through a panty liner. I feel very uncomfortable all the time and I feel more sensitive then usual down there. When I called the advice nurse , she told me that it's normal. But Because I'm a skeptical person by nature I wanted to know if this has also happened to anyone else.?
