Hello I'm trying to budget because we plan on moving out soon and wondering what the average budget is for your groceries and your family size? By the time we move out our child will be a little over 1

It just depends on what you buy. I spend about $150 biweekly, but we stick to a very boring menu, and I buy meat in bulk and freeze it. If we had more money, we'd probably spend more so we could eat more vegetables and lean meat.

We average $155 weekly for 2. I think it depends on too many things for someone else to know what would work for you. I suggest tracking your spending to get a good idea. My husband and I do it every single month and we know where every penny goes so I can tell you exactly how much I spend and where. It helps realize what you can afford and what your saving and where you can improve etc.

That's a tough one. Depends on so many things. Where you live, if you have any access to free food (my SO works at a dairy plant so all of our milk, cream, and sometimes sour cream is free, so we use a lot more we would if we had to buy it all), if you're willing to put a little time in every week to shop sales, plan out menus AND stick to them, how expensive your tastes are (my SO loves seafood and buys a lot), how much freezer and pantry space you have, etc.

It's very hard to determine because each individual family differs so much. Plus your location and the prices also differ. I have a family of 6 that includes myself, husband and 4 children. I would say on a good week I might do well at 200 a week.
