If a badly beaten woman appeared at your doorstep needing help, what would you do?

Im addicted to the show "i survived", and I've watched a few of them now that have shown the victim going to the first house they see, literally running for their lives after such an ordeal and the occupants just shut the door in their face and turn off all the lights. I understand its for their own safety, but I just couldn't do such a thing and wanted to ask this question on Glow as im curious to see responses!

Ooo see I'm not sure. I really want to say I'll help. But it's also a home invasion tactic. Just like hearing a crying baby at your door. I have 2 kids and my husband works graveyard. So a realistic situation I'd probably call the police for her and honestly not let her inside. Unless I'm 110% sure otherwise. 😔😓

That's exactly what I was going to say C. That has been used as a home invasion tactic often before and so I am extra cautious about people being in or around my house. I would definitely call the police for her though. Sad you can't trust people/the world anymore.

I know a lot of people will take issue with this and that's fine, but it's my life not yours and this is my opinion. 
I'd let them in, if it was a male and he looked like he needed help, I'd let him in too. I would rather die at someone else's cruelty than know someone could have else died at mine. Always be kind, always.

I manage an apt building and lived on site for a while. One night about 2 yrs ago my adult daughter spent tbe night with me. She slept on the couch. It was a nice night so she slept with the window open. It is a secure entry building meaning you need to be buzzed in to get in to the hallway to access the apts. About 4am i awake to my buzzer just continuously buzzing. I run to my livingroom notice my front door standing wide open. I hear a girl crying over and over "help me, he's trying to kill me, help me!" My daughter wasn't on the couch and panic set it. I rush down the stairwell and find my daughter, and two other tenants with a girl wearing only a shirt and one sock, scraped hands and knees, bleeding. I bring her up to my apt get her a robe and shoes some water and wet cloth and call the police. While waiting she told me she and her husband were arguing and he went crazy. He stripped all her clothes off her except the shirt and sock, he choked her until she passed out twice, he tried to stab her. He tackled her outside while she was trying to get away. This is where my daughter comes in. She heard the screaming and the buzzer, she kept trying to hit the release for the security door but the girl wasnt getting it open in time. My daughter not knowing what she was running in to rushed out of the apt and down the stairs to let her in. She said even knowing she could be hurt too she couldn't leave her hearing what was going on. Luckily she got the girl in without letting him in and we got her to my apt. A few minutes later, somehow he got in the security door (im assuming he buzzed another apt and someone let him in not knowing what was going on) and showed at my front door. He couldnt get in, didnt try just mumbled something and left. The police found him eventually he was arrested and hospitalized. Come to find out he was schitzo and had stopped his meds. I truly believe my daughter saved that girls life that night.

That has actually happened to me! Only my neighbor spoke absolutely no English, all I could see was her bloody face through the back door!

When my husband was 17 he saw a man beating a women in front of a bar. My husband tried to get him off of her and ended up getting into a fight with the guy. Next thing he knows, the woman jumps on his back and started punching him... I'd for sure call the police. Not sure if I'd put my family at risk, though. It all depends on the circumstances!
