Diva Cup Stem

Hey ladies! I just started using the Diva Cup  Size 1 and am excited about the transition from pads/tampons. I haven't had any issues with leakage (seriously awesome), but I am definitely getting poked by the stem I think. I think it's up high enough since there is no leaking, but if I "push" a tiny bit I can definitely feel something rigid in the opening of my lady parts. How many of you ended up cutting the stem?
