Rh blood testing?

My questions does the father also need to get tested? Or is it okay if just the mother gets tested...can someone please explain this to me.

No need for father to be tested. If you are Rh negative you will receive a rhogam injection at about 28 weeks gestation prophylactic. After baby is born they will check your babies blood type. If baby is Rh positive you will get another injection of Rhogam, but if your baby is Rh negative like you, you will not need it.

So I looked into this, and if both parents are rh negative then the baby will also be rh negative, so rhogam isn't necessary. So there could be value in testing dad if mom is rh negative.
