How many bibs do you really need?

I mostly use burp cloths Muslims BUT laundry piles up fast and I use bibs as backups. They're also nice to have for bottle feedings. They catch spit ups and dribble when you can't wipe it fast enough. I would say get maybe 5-10 (depends how often you do laundry too) but get the soft kind that are soft to wipe with. Also I like the ones that slip over the head as opposed to snaps (Burt's bees are good) because if the baby falls asleep it's less disturbing to take off. I guess that depends on your baby and your preference though.

I never used bibs with our 1st born, he is now 4. We're scheduled to have our baby girl next Friday and will not use bibs with her either. I can not stand to see a baby with. Bib thrown on and be soaked etc. I have to keep their little necks clean and dry constantly! Just an ocd of mine. LoL

It really depends on how often you wash them and if your baby spits up a lot.

So my little guy seems to be teething at 3 months and he's drooling a lot, so the bibs are coming in handy! Glad I have a lot of them.

My baby is 7 weeks old, exclusively breastfed, and I've not once touched a single bib. I bought plenty thinking we would use them but I don't bother. I just carry a Muslin square around at all times to wipe away sick, milk, or dribble and if she happens to sick up enough to wet her clothes, I just change her gro! 😊
