Hymenectomy

Has anyone on here had a hymenectomy? My hymen was almost completely blocking my vagina meaning I was able to have a normal menstrual flow, but I couldn't get a tampon in or "anything else" if you know what I mean. I had to actually go to an outpatient center and have it cut open. I want to hear your recovery experiences if anyone out there has had to do this type of thing too. I'm recovering, but it's still painful for me and I'm having a hard time walking :/
