how likely is it that you go over your due date?

This is my first pregnancy and I was wondering how likely would it be to go past your due date?

With my first I was 40w +6 days. And that was being induced! I'm pregnant with baby number 2.... So hopefully he/she doesn't follow that same pattern!

The last time I checked the average for first time moms was 40+2... That being said, everyone/every pregnancy is different. And I know tons of people who have gone early... I unfortunately, am not one of those people lol

Im pregnant with my first and im 40+5 and still waiting. My midwife said most FTMs have their babys at 7-10 days overdue but everyone is different :)

I read going over 40w is less common these days than when our mothers were pregnant because they have more technology for dating the conception and gestational age etc

Everyone is different I had one friend who was a week earlier and one friend was a week late. All just depends. I hear most moms go over with the first, but I can't tell you from experience cause I was induced with my first, but I was a day late with my second so it makes me curious if I would have been late with my first.
