Anyone else find this wording manipulative?

I'm filling out forms for the hospital...
I feel like the judgement is right there in the choice of words (breastfed vs 'artificial')

That's exactly what it is, artificial milk..  it's a supplement for real breastmilk. Nothing to be upset over but that's exactly what it is.. I have used both methods due to supply, it doesn't make me feel anything when reading this question. It's okay mama, your baby will still be well nurtured and healthy.

I'm planning on breast feeding but to answer your question since most missed it 🙄, yes I do feel it's manipulative. I know it's a harmless question when you think about it but at first thought it does feel manipulative

This also helps them know if you need help with breast feeding. Usually someone helps you in the hospital so you can learn to lactch ect. Essentially formula is artificial unnatural. Hospitals aren't trying to make you mad it's the wording for it. Aka medical terminology. They need to know what babys eating when born so they know if they have to feed or if you are. Nothing offensive.

I think it's a harmless question.. I think because it's always debated and those that do not are commonly judged by their peers it's being read into as manipulative but it's likely an innocent question.

Well, I mean technically formula is acting like artificial breast milk. I don't think they mean any harm, probably just using the medical terminology.  Though I feel bad for how some hospitals preach breast feeding to women when not all of them actually CAN breast feed. It may make them feel inferior, which isn't cool.
