Charly Horse or DVT?

Question

Yesterday morning I woke up with a muscle spasm on the right side/front of my lower leg. Seemed like a classic Charly horse to me and had to rub it out. It doesn't hurt when I walk but is sore when I continue to stretch/flex my foot a day later.

Is this normal or do get tested for DVT? No discoloration that I see or heat radiating from my leg.

I'm always paranoid about the same thing! But, if you google image what your leg looks like with dvt then there is no denying. LOL! Swollen, discolored and apparently the pain is over a 10 on the scale. Since the second trimester, I get Charley horses that leave my calf muscles sore for days!! 😖

That's normal Charley horse. Mine hurt for a week after and even then was still tender a while longer

Charlie horse most likely. Dvt usually comes with discoloration and hot/painful areas.

Eat bananas. The potassium in the banana helps with muscle contractions which is probably the problem. Baby likes to take what it wants from mom, and third trimester baby is using a lot more of their muscles so they need that potassium.

Leg cramping is totally normal and common  in pregnancy, it's from the increased blood volume. Flex your feet up and down when you feel one coming on, it goes away immediately.

Why do you think its dvt? Do you have a history of blood clots?

If you arent sure go to the hospital to get checked.
