dumb question, don't judge

I have kind of a dumb question to ask. Recently I found out that I am ovulating a week late, I'm suppose to on day 14, but this last cycle it was on day 22. My question is, when should I take a test?? My period is suppose to start on 09/13. This would be day 29 in my cycle. Any advice?
