Ever been in love with your best friend?

Question

I cant hide it any longer. I am in love with my best friend of 6 years. 
And i dont know what to do. What do you do? Do you tell them and risk ruining such an amazing friendship or keep this secret in forever and watch them love someone else? 
He called me his baby and said he loved me the other day and i about lost it. I probably sound so stupid right now. I just dont know what to do and what not to do. 
UPDATE: we talked about it. And decided we wanted to give it a shot. A week later, he was in a relationship. They broke up after 5 days. We talked as friends then he asked me to be his girl but i told him i'd like him to treat me like a princess and take me out. He agreed. 2 weeks later (today) he's talking to another girl. Call me miss moving on! I deserve better😴

Dated my best friend of 8 years for 4 years and we didn't work out. Now we don't even talk and part of me wishes we would have just stayed at as friends. He was my first love though and he taught me a lot about myself and I'll always love him. I think it can be worth it

If y'all start a "relationship" even if it's not officially dating y'all may never be able to just be each other friend again. Don't jump the gun. Don't ruin it befor it even starts good.

You never know unless you try. I had the biggest crush on my best friend all through high school but unfortunately he was dating 1 of my other friends. After hs was over and they had broken up, I told him about my crush. Turned out he liked me too but didn't think I was interested in him that way lol. We have now been married 2 years :)

Well my husband and I were in this situation except the roles were reversed. He loved me. He never told me he was in love until after we started dating but he did make it known that he had intense feelings for me and he asked me out on an actual date. I won't lie, I turned him down several times but he was persistent. He said he knew there was something different and he knew he wanted to marry me from the first time he saw me. Of course he didn't tell me that until later☺️ I would tell him! Don't make him think you have any expectations about it, just tell him!

If he is calling you his baby just ask him why he called you that and see if he feels the same way!!! Sounds like he does to me!!!

I was in love with my best friend back in high school. I never told her because I knew she didn't feel the same way. In your situation I would give it a shot though
