Early labor or false labor??

Question

I've been having contractions for about 3 and a half hours now and they are pretty painful but are not regular?? Can false labor contractions last that long? I'm confused and nervous 😰

Sounds like braxton hicks, my doc just said today if they are regular and 8 minutes apart and you feel them in your lower back that could be pre term labor. I've been having braxton hicks for almost a month now, only went to the hospital once so far because they were 10 minutes apart and regular for over 12 hours, but it still was false labor. If you ever feel concerned then contact your doctor. You can't go wrong speaking with your doc :)
