My friend told me that she heard that earing eggplant parmesean induced her labor...me being restless and at 39 weeks I gave it a try. I had a nice helping of eggplant parmesean with some garlic basil bread around 4:30pm. Waiting around thinking how would this induce labor. Well around 7:30pm I started cramping, cramping I never felt before. Rode to the hospital around 11pm and was told I was 2 cm dilated (I have been 2cm for almost a month). Needless to say I was sent home at 2am. I went home and tried my best to go to sleep but I couldn't. I was rushed to the hospital at 1pm and was told I was 6cm. It took me by surprise but I was ready. My labor was moving fast and I tried my best to go natural but as soon as I was nearing 10cm my cervix started to swell so I had no choice but to get an epidural. My 1st time giving birth is an experience I will never forget.
