Natural ways to prevent thrush?

My son has started using the pacifier daily. My doctor said that it could lead to thrush if the pacifier is not properly cleaned regularly. While I try to stay on top of it I was wondering if there are any natural ways to prevent thrush or to treat it if I begin to notice it.

I've never heard of this before and wonder why the doctor would say that. As long as you are cleaning the pacifiers regularly and letting them dry completely, there should be no issue. Thrush is caused by our bodies producing yeast, and yes, could stick around longer if baby already has it and you are not cleaning the pacifiers, but is not CAUSED by pacifier use.
