could I be pregnant with twins?

I was supposed to be a twin but my mom had a miscarriage...I'm wondering if I have a high chance of being pregnant with twins? I have my first appointment tomorrow but they said they don't do an ultrasound at the first appt. Is there a way to find out without having to wait for my 20 week ultrasound?

You should have one around 8 weeks.  That's pretty standard

Depends on if your twin was identical or fraternal. If identical, then yes. If fraternal, then no.

Two out of 3 of my pregnancies I had a chance to have twins; 2 sacs but only 1 baby. Doctor said I either released 2 eggs or they split... My sister ended up with fraternal twin boys!

If they take blood & your Hcg levels are doubled that's an indication. I know someone who found out that way
