Braxton hicks contractions!

Is it normal to have Braxton hicks 5-6 every hour? I'm 25 weeks today and went to the er on Saturday because they were very frequent. They said it's not real labor and I'm dilated 1 cm but that could be because of previous pregnancies. I followed up with my OB and she said everything looks normal that I should get some rest and if it gets worse, water breaks or there's blood then go back to the ER. It's really frustrating because I don't really know what's going on and these constant contractions are really annoying. I can't sleep properly or go through the day without being in pain. Is it normal? And is it ever going to go away?
