So I decided to check my cervix on my own (which I know is not really recommended, but I was curious) I feel like I'm 4cm dilated w/mild contractions...should I be going to the hospital already or wait to see if my contractions get stronger??Btw I'm 38 weeks and 5 days...

Answer

You could be dialated like that for a few days even. Go when your contractions are close together and it's hard to talk or do anything to get through them. Also, I wouldn't check yourself again. There is a high risk for infection doing it yourself.
