question about flu shot?

So my baby girl got her six month check & shots. Although i am all the way for vaccines, is the flu shot really necessary? The clinic didnt have any so she couldnt get it today if i chose to. So theyll call me by friday and let me know when to stop by to get the shot if i chose to. Any mommas out there gave their little the flu ouchies?

No.

For one it's a guess off of last years strain and is only 60% effective. Some of the people who get it also have bad reactions. 
I am allergic and end up in the hospital each time.

I would wait until she is older if I were you.

My baby has never been sick but I don't want her to get the flu at this young age!   She just had the flu shot along w her 6 month shots Wednesday

Our pediatrician recommends the flu shot. She's suggested she receive it at her 6 month appointment, but it seems a bit early in the year.

I wasn't aware flu shots were offered to babies... Every time my older kids get the flu shot they get terribly sick. I never get one myself and I don't get that sick. Maybe just a mild cold but nothing major.. I honestly don't know if it's even a good idea to continue giving it to them. Might skip this year to see the difference.
