Okay I am a serious over packer lol so I need some advice on what's the necessary amount of clothes and other things to pack for me, the baby and my husband. It's hard when you don't know how long you will be staying at the hospital... 😊 thanks!

I wore the hospital gown the whole time I was there with a robe. Pack a change of clothes to come home in for both you and baby, toiletries, Chapstick, snacks, phone charger..

I only packed a change of clothes for when I left, cause they made me stay in the hospital robe thing.  My husband is in the Marines, so he didn't get to be there.  But I brought a few outfits (which wasn't enough) some newborn clothes was too big.  I'd bring a different new born outfits (make sure all are different sizes if you get what I'm saying) even bring maybe a premature outfit.  And maybe 0-3 months too.  Just in case.

the baby clothes definitely make sense. I figured I wouldn't be able to avoid over packing for him lol!

Your insurance will tell you the days for a birth with no complications. For us, its three days with the option to leave sooner of course

I was thinking 3 days would be a good estimate to go by.

Pack bare minimum. Shower stuff, makeupIf you think you'll put it on, going home clothes (comfy) and an extra bag to bring all the crap you get home.

I had a c-section and was in the hospital from Friday-Monday. I brought 3 outfits for baby, a robe and 3 outfits for me, socks, toothbrush/toothpaste and travel size shower stuff. I wasnt allowed out of bed for 24 hours so I didn't even put on my own clothes until dinner time Saturday. You really don't need much. My husband brought a pair of PJ's a pair of shorts a pair of pants and a few tee shirts.
