When did/will you start your maternity leave?

Luckily in the UK, we get 52 weeks maternity leave as standard, so I'm planning on finishing 4 weeks before baby is due & having the remaining 48 weeks afterwards x

I'm in the UK and get 52 weeks maternity,  6 weeks annual leave plus an optional 8 weeks parental leave - I'm starting my maternity leave at 32 weeks because my little guy is likely to be early and I want a bit of time to relax at home before he makes an appearance.

I only get so much time off, and I want as much of that time spent with my new baby as possible, so I'm going to work as close to my due date as I can, hopefully up until labor.
