Diets......

Sarah
My husband and I have decided to become healthy people. No alcohol or tobacco products. No pop or junk food. I'm trying to eat 1200 caleries or less a day. And at least 4 bottles of water. How do you diet? How are your results?

Please don't eat 1200 calories or less. Please eat more than that, your body needs it! Look up your basic metabolic rate. As in how many calories your body needs to function on a very basic level. You can then workout to drop the total calories throughout the day. The 1200 calories plan is a good way to lose a lot of weight, only to gain it all back!!!!!!

Watch your sugar intake. Eat healthy and exercise. Eat enough calories your body needs for how much you burn throughout the day

You make a lifestyle change and stop thinking of it as a diet, that will change how you feel about it all. Becasue going from one lifestyle that isn't the healthiest to what you want is going to be a toll, so positive thinking is a great first stop.

Every one starts somewhere,  take baby steps regardless of what others look.  As long as you're focuses on achieving a goal, work for it!  Exercise when you can, and no you can't procrastinate. You want to be the ideal of a healthy and perfect body you desire, not what magazines, models etc have.  You're working for yourself

Well because I don't like to live on a strict boring diet (I enjoy starbucks and pizza once in a while) I just cut out sugars other than my coffee, and only allowed one meal with carbs a day. Replaced my sandwich bread with spinach wraps. Ate salads. Fruit. Veggies. Lean protein. Smoothies. Exercised at LEAST once a week. But my job required a lot of lifting and running around so there was no activity shortage. But I'd let myself splurge once in a while. I lost 20 lbs in 4 or 5 months I believe.

I don't diet exactly, but I try to eat around 80% really healthy and 20% whatever the hell I want. It keeps me from craving and binging on garbage.

I have the my plate app on my phone and I have my Fitbit with it. I am doing my 1200 caleries because that is what my plate told me to eat. Today is the only day I did not eat over it. But I'm not hungry at all. We r trying to eat high protein low carb diet since we are trying to keep muscle and lose fat.

It depends. I follow a plant-based diet so I usually do high carb+low fat but the "Whole 30" is great for a quick fix.
