When can you take baby on a hike?

I would love to start taking LO to explore the outdoors. I know that their immune system is compromised / undeveloped when they are so young, so it's important to stay away from crowded areas, but what about a hike somewhere that's not crowded and not too sunny?

I would say it's ok to take the baby anytime, as long as they are dressed appropriately. But I would think about you. I can't go for a 1 hour walk without my pelvis and vagina getting sore. I don't know if it's because I tore or just normal pains for 3 weeks pp, but I am sore for the rest of the day!!

My daughter just turned a month old on the 13th and she changed on her own. She use to be up throughout the night the first three weeks now she naps for about two hours in the day and sleeps peacefully at night. 🍼👶🏽🙌🏾. Good luck!

I would say when he/she can hold their head up. That's what I'm waiting for. I can't wait to start hiking again!

I thought about that too! Babies are not suppose to wear sunscreen til 6 mo. Would the hike be in a wooded area with trees/shade? THEN with that being said....wooded area....ticks.... Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain fever...no thanks. Not worth the risk for me. And I prefer not to use bug spray on the little guy. And mosquitoes 😬.
