Depends on your SO'S sperm.  If he has a lower sperm count it's better for every other day. 
If everything is normal, then everyday is fine too. And recent studies show that sex every day will actually increase your chances up to 60% for 2 healthy adults. 
And there are also cases where he might have a very high maturing sperm as well where sex is NECESSARY every day and sometimes multiple times to keep the sperm from "over maturing" I have friends going through that right now. 
Long story short, as far as too much, for now, just try once a day and see where that leads you.
